Battery Storage <1MW
This battery storage system is housed in a 20-foot container. It has an installed capacity of 1290 kWh, with 903 kWh available for use. The system supports up to 8,000 cycles and is cooled using a liquid cooling system. The batteries utilize LiFePO4 technology, which offers the safest lithium chemistry. LiFePO4 is non-flammable, withstands high temperatures without decomposition, and is not prone to thermal runaway. The storage unit can be fully charged and discharged in approximately 60 minutes. It was developed in collaboration with CTU – Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
AI-Controlled System
One of the challenges in energy management is making full use of the “spot market window,” where electricity purchases and sales can be optimized for maximum profit. Our battery storage is managed by artificial intelligence, which analyzes solar and wind forecasts along with market data to determine whether buying electricity from the market or using renewable sources is more efficient at any given time. If a purchase from the market is necessary, the AI identifies the optimal time to buy electricity at the lowest cost and sell at the highest price.

The battery storage system includes monitoring features to protect against damage, destruction, or harm to nearby individuals. It continuously checks electric currents, voltage, flow rates, cooling water temperature, and battery cell temperature. The unit also has a fire suppression system, which activates in case of fire and notifies the appropriate personnel. The system even monitors the fire suppression functionality itself.
